Ponderosa CA freshman Natalie Wieland won the Division 2 girls varsity 3-mile race at the CIF Sac Joaquin Subsection Championships at Calaveras County Fairgrounds in Angels Camp, Calif. Wieland clocked 18:37.2 to lead Ponderosa to a sixth-place finish with 188 points, qualifying for the Nov. 10 final at the Willow Hills Course in Folsom.
